Silhouette Tree is a multi-media painting, every now and again I like to head back to where I first started on my journey through the creation of art, I have learnt new things on my journey and apply them to other pieces. For this painting I started with a normal stretched canvas and then used some old book pages with a font that I find very interesting, I then stuck this to the canvas before sealing it and beginning my actual painting. I love the juxtaposition of the formal Gothic German typeface with the darkness of the black silhouette tree, can you spot the single bird in the picture, when I was doing the painting I didn't think that it would show up but it does.

I began painting last year (2021) during one of the numerous lockdowns and slow reopening of society and it has allowed me to enjoy my love of colour and random shapes. Painting has also offered me a way to control pain, this is my relief and my pleasure and I want to share my joy with everyone. I have very disobedient hands which decide for themselves what they will and will not do, this can at times cause some unusual effects but that is why I like this style of painting.

Shipping

The canvas will be packed with plenty of protection in a cardboard box. My aim is to dispatch items the next working day after they have been ordered using my standard shipping method which is 1st class Royal Mail small parcels which takes between 1 and 2 day from dispatch to delivery.

I use all natural materials for my packaging and it is 100% recyclable as I aim to do my best to protect the environment.
